Randi, I'm sorry the news wasn't what you were waiting for.  You have some fantastic outlook though and I love it.  Growing up my sister and I always lived by the saying:  pick yourself up, dust yourself off.... you know the rest!  I've lived by that for my breast cancer journey too.  Just know we'll be here for you.  Hugs, Libby

I'm sorry about your results, but you have a fantastic attitude.  As everyone has said, this is the #1 important factor in your treatment and recovery.  You are very fortunate to have such a great support group around you, too.

 

As for no more periods, yes- that's great, but I HATE the hot flashes!  I'm 45 and haven't had my period since December, which was just after my 2nd chemo.  I don't know if it will last or not.

Randi,

Just popping in here to say I will be thinking of you. I just love your attitude, that is what it takes to get you thru this.

I am a 20 year survivor as of March 28. I was 33 when I was DX, had a recurrence 2 years after that and I am still here to talk about it. I have been blessed!!!!!!!!!

You have found a wonderful place here for support.

I know that you did not get the news you were hoping for. I know this is not a path that you would have chosen to follow. But, we are all here for you. Your attitude is great. It sounds like you have wonderful support at work and at home. You have a powerful, wonderful network of people pulling for you. Wishing you the best. Randi, not getting my period is one of the joys I have experienced during cancer treatment. The other, like you said, is meeting wonderful people that I would never have met. I like your mantra "Bring it On". It's a good one.
