Saw your post in our PCE thread for Laure's surgery....another one in NJ? That makes about 4 or 5 now....

I lived there when I was a kid but was there for work in October and am still traumatized by the jug handles and driving in Livingston.

Have you posted here before? Care to tell us anything about yourself? You can read about us in the roll call...feel free to jump in wherever you wish!

Stacy has posted before, during the week NJ seemed to flourish. You are right, Lori, all of a sudden NJ is a busy place.

Thanks for the offer of driving Stacy. From Lori's frustration with those jug handles I am sure not wanting to give it a try. I don't think Libby drives in the city much, do you Libby? How do you do with jug handles? I think she lives in a quiet country town, right?

You could almost have your own NJ Chapter with so many there now. Next thing we know you will insist on us coming there for a get together. LOL

Gee, MK, having everyone come to NJ is a great idea! Maybe a thought for next spring....we could even include a Broadway show! Well Stacy, this NJ breast friend wants to welcome you to the board. lori - i live right next to livingston. there are those darn "circles" there and they sure can be a challenge. i find myself just gripping the steering wheel and flying on thru them!!! lucky for me i have a pretty big car! LOL!

frayda! i grew up in edison! right off of new durham road. it sure has changed a lot since then. do you have children that went to school in edison? my mom was a teacher there for 35 years. she taught 2nd and 3rd grade at menlo park elementary school. wouldn't that be a hoot if you knew her?

i'm grateful to have found you all. i'm going thru a very tough time right now and can use a lot of friends!

i finished my treatments for stage 2b, 2 positive nodes, er/pr +, her2+++ the beginning of march. a cat scan two weeks ago showed spots on my lungs that weren't there before chemo. going to see a thoracic surgeon on tuesday and will be having an open lung biopsy to determine if the spots are the cancer, or an infection. the stress is horrible! i've been popping ativan like they are candy and i still can't get rid of the huge knots in my stomach.

well, let's hope for the best. i promised my husband that if they find this is an infection, i'll learn how to do a cartwheel and start rolling! so if anyone in nj sees a crazy, spikey haired broad of 45 doing cartwheels down the side of the road - its me!!!! tongue hugs,

Stacy! OMG! I grew up in Edison too! We left there (went to Houston) in 1981, I had just finished 6th grade at James Monroe Elementary....what a smallllll world! We used to go to Menlo Park mall, I think that is where Pathmark and Bamberger's were! I was there again about 10 years ago to visit, and would never recognize the mall....but the old Menlo Pizza Sub shop was still there! I was in Livingston on business last fall, never could find Short Hills Mall.....kept missing turns and never figured out when a jug handle launced you another direction....also had trouble manuevering to make left turns when you had to be in the far right to hit that jug handle...still traumatized by it!

Wow, this surely must be a very frightening time, with the lung spots. Please let us know when you are having the appointments, like the one on Tuesday. We'll arrange for our cyber jet, Pink Cloud Express, to be there....so we can all come marching into the doctor's office with you, draped in pink feather boas and hoisting pink libations when they give you good news....

And if the ativan does not do it, you may ask the doc for something else, or take a different dose. The anxiety is awful and there is no sense suffering worse than you have to...

Hi Stacy! Small world, huh?!

I live off New Dover Rd. so my kids had gone to James Madison, but my friend teaches at Menlo Park school. Now I have one son in law school and one son in medical school! We have a saying here about worrying: try not to worry until you know that there is something to worry about, thanks to GMA! I've been dealing with scattered lung nodules since last May when they were discovered on a CT scan during a work up for a new breast lump (that turned out to be a cyst,yeah!). I had a repeat scan in 6 weeks, then 3 months then 4 months and the most recent one last week. So far, no changes. I see the lung specialist next week for my follow-up.  They haven't wanted to biopsy them since they appear unchanged.  I have been reassured that if they were cancer, they would have changed. But knowing that they are there leaves my uneasy.  The doctor is a very close friend who I trust like a brother, so I have been going along with him. My dh (that's short for dear husband) is a doctor, too. So, here's hoping that all goes well for you, too! Let us know when that biopsy is and we'll have that PCE ready to go! Hugs, Frayda
