Hi, everyone. We're in Chicago now travelling slowly and looking at lots of things as we head home.
The wedding weekend was so wonderful. I was so happy to have Cathi there to share it with us. Lunch with Libby and Cathi was terrific. We took some pictures which I will post as soon as I get home.
On Tuesday we left NJ heading west to Cleveland. We had dinner with Cathi at a delicious Italian restaurant and then had a small retail therapy trip (as Lori would say). Yesterday, we wandered across the rest of Ohio and Indiana, stopping at Shipshewana. Lots of Amish people there. Last summer we went to Amishland in PA so this was a fun add-on to those memories. Of course, I bought lots of quilting fabric while DH walked across to the livestock auction/flea market on the other side of the road. Barry is a NYC boy, born and bred, so I was curious about what he thought of the livestock auction. His response was "lots and lots of baby whatevers and a whole lot more hollering than I wanted to hear, the flea market was more fun." LOL!!
So today we're redoing Chicago after a visit here about 10 yrs. ago. It's such a pretty city with the endless lake always in the background. I'm going to Marshall Fields to buy some Frango mints. Always need a little something as we drive along, right??
We, like all of you, woke up this morning to the news from London. Gosh, will this madness never stop??? Sending you all hugs from here. More later, Luci
