radiation and surgery

So I have gotten 3 treatments so far of radiation. I saw a different radiation doctor today cause my doctor was on vacation. See I use the radiaplex lotion two hours before Tx and right after Tx and then at night. She says not to use it before Tx's at all and my normal Doc says to use it two hours before he won't be back until after I have 7 more Tx's and now I am not sure if I should use it before or not. She says it could make me burn more. Does anyone know anything about this. Also my margins were clear when they surgically removed the tumor but only by 1mm. The doc says normally they like it clear by 3mm but the kind of tumor I have doesn't usually spread and I had chemo before otherwise they would have gone back in and removed more, now too late so really not sure what to think about that and if that still is ok.. has anyone ran across this before and did they do well... so worried it will come back now...yikes probably just me worrying but what do you guys think??? ..........skeeter1

I finished rads in May and my dr told me not to use the cream 2 hours before tx.  I could use it any other time just not within the 2 hours right before tx. 

My biopsy didn't have clear margins so we went back in and did a partial mast. and got clear margins with that.  But keep in mind since they know about the margins they will dose accordingly with the rads.  And they will most likely give booster tx's at the end of the series.  that concentrates the rad. to the area the tumor was in.  Worrying is one of those things that will haunt us for a very long time.  But try to keep positive while going through tx. it is very beneficial to the body and soul.
