I was looking for information about the Lupron I'm taking (long story, but it may not be working) and I happened upon the iVillage site. I started reading posts and this one was there for you guys. Someone did point her to here, but just in case, I wanted to let you both know.

I was on this Message Board for a couple of years, about 3 years ago. I was wondering if this is the same board that Mk and Jo-Ann are on. I believe my BC has returned, and would like to return back here, to talk about it. I am one of the older ones, I mean by age, and if this is the right place, someone may remember me. My name is Arlene and I used to live in Texas, but am now in Florida. Hope to hear from someone. Hugs, Arlene

Thanks Laure' I contacted her via email and have tried to call her, but so far we are playing telephone tag. As she said in her post she lived here for awhile and we met for lunch several times. She also posted here for a short while but evidently has forgotten. Her board name here was neenee, if she can just remember her password. LOL.

Hope you find your answer about Lupron. I sure can't help there.

I can't get over, that some o f you do remember me. My memory is so bad, that I even forgot that I used to post here. My doctor tells me I carry too much in my brain and it is overloaded  -  that's why I am forgetful. I thought I was getting senile or the dreaded ALZ.

MK, sorry I've been gone or not understanding my phone - maybe tonight we will reach each other.

I had taken a bad fall and landed right on my implant. I didn't know if I had done any damage to it, but it felt very strange - cold and tight. I called the Plastic Surgeon who had previously put a new implant in, as the original one had encapsulated. He sent me for an MRI and that's when this new but small 8mm mass was found. It had never been seen on any of my mammograms. It is in my good bread, or should I say real breast. I had an ultrasound done, and nothing was seen on it. So now I have been told to wait 5 or 6 months and have another MRI. I can feel a small lump, and I was wondering if I should go to an oncologist to have this checked out more. I've been home in Florida for almost 3 years, and haven't seen an oncologist at all. The place I had the MRI done, is affiliated with Moffit Cancer Ctr.,who deal with BC a lot. I just don't know what to do - I feel I should just go along with what I have been told, but than, I feel this lump, and wonder if I should have an oncologist look at it. I would appreciate if if I got some feedback from you ladies.

By the way, I didn't even say Hello  nono  HELLO to you all - the ones who know me and the ones who don't.

Hi Arlene! I used to post on IV as lori_g2000 and I too remember you. I would have it checked out for sure, none of this waiting 6 months. My surgeon left U of Michigan to go to Moffit, but I think he heads a sarcoma clinic and may not see breast patients. His name is Vernon Sondak if you want to check it out.

Hi Arlene, sure I remember you! I even remember you used to live in NJ, too! I don't think I would be comfortable waiting 5 or 6 months. I would see a breast surgeon and your ps should be able to recommend one. If the lump doesn't show up on the u/s, the only way to biopsy it is with an MRI guided biopsy and the breast surgeon would know if that can be done at that center. Either way, the breast surgeon should be the one to consult. Welcome back! Frayda

Hi Arlene! My name is Deb. It is nice to meet you.

If you haven't seen an onco in 3 yrs and there is a small mass, I would make an appt. I agree that you need to have a biopsy done. I doubt that if your were that surgeon or radiologists wife, mother or sister they would have you wait 5-6 months before anything was done. As you know, this darn disease isn't anything to fool around with. And peace of mind is a great thing! Why not make sure that there isn't anything there. It sounds as though you are affiliated w/ a good center. Get on that phone and make the appointment!!! yeah

Please let us know what you find out.

:-) Thank you all for your concern and also for remembering me. Some of your names sound familiar, but I feel terrible not truly remembering. confused I have had a lot of emotional problems these past few years, and I do know I have to clear my mind, and my memory would be a lot better, but so far I have found that hard to do.

I did get the name of an Oncologist, but haven't made an appointment yet.I would like to first see my Doctor and have her examine me, to make sure I am feeling what I do. I've had a lot of surgery on both sides, and I do realize it may just be scar tissue. I guess what concerns me most, is that it has never showed up in any mammogram or in another MRI I had about a year ago.

I post mostly to a Widow group, and several of us had met in San Antonio last year, and had a great time. It's amazing how you feel you've known these women forever,when you first meet. That's what happened when I met MK and Jo-Ann when I lived in Texas. yeah Does anyone live in or near Valrico, Florida? It seems like everyone from Fl. lives in the South or North. No one in Central.

As soon as I find out anything I will let you all know. Even though I may have forgot particular people, please know that my prayers include you all . Thanks again.

:-) Welcome home, Arlene. I have sure missed you. Hope you don't have any damage from the storms. I think you should go to the onc and get retested. I go so angry when I hear the dreaded "let's watch it for 6 to 9 months and then we'll recheck". That has led many people down the wrong path.

Let us know when you have your appointment. You know we'll be with you, pink boas and all. Joyce should be along soon to explain the PCE.
