Newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer and RA

I was diagnosed with breast cancer this past November. I had a lumpectomy and will be receiving radiation treatment. Depending on my Oncotype DX score, I may also need chemo. My oncologist also is planning to put me on a hormonal therapy medication. I am 67 years old. I am very concerned about how I will handle all of the cancer treatment along with dealing with arthritis. Has anyone else dealt with both of these conditions? I need advice.

So sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I cannot offer any info on BC + arthritis but hopefully someone else will. If you don't hear anything, come over to breastcancer.org. There are active thread on there with woman who have similar challenges.

Thank you. I did go to breastcancer.org--what a wonderful site, but I'm also familiar with HealingWell and hope someone here may have an answer.

I was dx'd with BC in November and had surgery in December. I also have extensive arthritis, mostly in my spine.

I had my first appointment today with the radiation oncologist, and next week I meet the medical oncologist to discuss hormone and/or chemo.

I am 50 years old.

So yes, I can certainly relate to similar circumstances.
