Graduation Day from Radiation: 3/31

I am scheduled for a CT Scan next week for mapping for the second phase of my radiation.

I'll finish the "whole breast radiation" portion on 3/21, and then they'll start the isolated radiation treatment until 3/31 at which time I get to ring the brass bell...

The borders from the rad burns are getting really noticeable now, the burn is feeling more like a burn than just an irritation, and oh yes, the fatigue is whooping my patootie.

Treatment #16 finished today.

You have the power within you to make it through but remember it is OK to say OUCH.  shocked

Oh the ouchies are certainly coming through....

I'm trying to ouch without whining though, that's the trick.

My Husband noticed I periodically hold my breast and create a buffer between my arm. I just hope I don't do this in public, too, because evidently I don't always realize when I'm doing it at home.

It's official. I'm walking like a penguin. (I just need the tux!) ;)

I'm walking with my right arm out to the side and just randomly catch glimpses of myself. I'm completely unaware that I'm even doing this.....(and I'm guessing I do it in public without being conscious of it, too...at this rate, I'm no doubt garnering lots of googlie-eyes).

My Graduation Day is postponed by another day. I had to R/S today's treatment because of,...........?

Survey says: "SNOW!"

So today's appt will be tagged on at the end. Well la-tee-dah.....

Time goes by so slowly when you are having cancer treatments but it flies by when you are having a really good time.

I am here for you and hope you liked the picture of the penquin I sent to you. scool

I definitely like the picture of the penguin! ("Penguins" have a special place and a special meaning, kind of like a secret code, between my Hubby and myself, so absolutely, yes!!)

I slept wrong last night and have a pinched nerve on the left side of my neck so between that, and walking with my right arm out like a penguin flipper, my head tipped to the other side, and I cannot twist to look at anything,....(and never mind all my lumbar CP issues, et al)....what a sight I make! :)

Are you able to put some heat on your neck?  Let me know as I will send you a great thing so you have it handy.

I will be heading to the hospital in about 10 minutes. My young grand-son-in-law to be is picking me up.  I just wish my hubby was home so I could spend my day with him here at home and all of you online.

I am always thinking of you and you have my prayers.

Silly me, not sure why, but I didn't catch this post until just now.

My skin, just in general, all over, is very sensitive to heat....I even take luke warm showers! So unfortunately, for me, heat tends to aggravate my body.

Still got the pinchies in the neck, but it's easier drinking water today than it was when this started, so here's hoping!

I'm running out of body parts left to get replaced, pinched, removed, poked and prodded....
