My biopsy results came in today!

I got the results of my stereotactic biopsy today and they said I have a complex selerosing lesion (benign) they want to do surgery to remove and test further to make sure no cancer is hiding in or behind it.

Has anyone ever had this or have any info to share?

This will be the 3rd time I've had to have a mass removed from my breast and believing that this lesion will be totally benign too after it's sent to pathology.

Forgive me if my porch light is on but it appears no one is home,....but I'm not sure what you're asking?

This is the third time you'd have had this experience where a benign lesion is found, and the third time you're being told they want to excise the mass in case the biopsy didn't catch everything?

If that's what you're saying, then I guess,--apologies again,--I'm not seeing a problem. They'd like to do again what they've done in the past, which in your experience confirms that these complex masses are benign.

Sounds like a good thing. I for one would rather have it removed and know for certain. So I guess I don't quite understand where any cloudy thinking may be popping up?

Sorry if I confuse you, my two previous benign mass were not the same as I have now with this being a Radial Scar also called complex selerosing lesion. It is said to be rare and I was only asking if any on this fourm has ever had this and if so to share their info.

The latter of my post was me simply sharing what I have experience in the past, and that I believe that this new diagnoses of this lesion would be benign after it is removed and sent to pathology. I was not saying this was my 3rd time with the same type of mass.

I may be confusing you more sorry! :)

And after all that, all I can share is: haven't a clue.

After you did all that 'splaining, I wish I had more to offer. But I like that you have a positive attitude. That goes such a long way in dealing with so many things!

Thanks, it's hard to find detail info on this condition as it is rare, but thanks anyway. :)
