Reg chemo Vs Pill

My aunt recently was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which has traveled to her bones. She has opted for the pill version rather through IV. She has always been one who treasures her appearance and doesn't want to lose her hair. They are going to operate on her breast in a few weeks. I know she is scared but she'd rather go that route and said she'd try the pill first. Is it advisable? She is 53 years old and we don't know how to handle this. Please help..

I wish I had some treasured words of wisdom to share with you, but to be honest, I am not familiar.

I took medications back in the late 1980's that was considered a pill form of chemotherapy along with a type of radiation (not CA related),...and I don't know if that's comparable or not.

This is really the first I've heard of it.

May I gently suggest you pop over to our Anxiety forum and check out some posts from one of our Moderators there, Kitt? She's good with this type of info!
