Hi Todd, I happened to see your post this morning. So very sorry to read about your friend's wife. Several years ago a friend of mine had a double, BC ran in the family. Her mother & 4 sisters all had BC, it was like a domino effect with them.
Since your friend will be a caregiver so to speak he will have his own emotions to deal with. I am also guessing she will make a recovery & in for a long ride with chemo & radiation. All you can do is be as positive & encouraging to him as you can. If you are married your wife may have some good input. Let him know your door is always open if he needs a friend to talk to. I am sure everything I have just said you already know just from your own journey.
This forum does not have a mod & it is slow as a result. I try to pop in here when I see a new post, as I feel bad if someone shows up & no one acknowledges them.
In a thread here by Christine1946, Pratoman posted a cancer website that may be helpful. I hope the very best for your friend & his wife.
Take care.
