Oncotype score of 45

Hey there. So I'm 38 and was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. My lymph's are all negative, genetics negative, HER2 negative, went from a stage 2 to a stage 1 after the lumpectomy. All smooth.. until I received the oncotype score of 45. Is chemo really necessary considering the results of all other tests?

Hi Jessy & welcome to Healing Well. I do have to ask what your dr is recommending that you do? If your dr is recommending chemo, I would listen, this is the expert. I am a novice in this area, however, everything I have read with a score of 45 it puts you in a higher risk category for the possibility of cancer returning. Visit with your dr again & get a better understanding on what the recommendations are.
