As a 60-something I tried the three aromatase inhibitors that were available at the time for a year and didn't tolerate any of them - felt like I was 150 years old with horrible arthritis. One hurt me so bad I needed triple trigger finger surgeries. Later I tried Tamoxifen with the similar symptoms.
I went to a symposium about the side effects and found that age, probably already low hormone levels, made the difference. Young women didn't have trouble. I knew because my levels had been tested, that I was very low before breast cancer.
