Info on treatment for newly diagnosed Invasive Lobular Carcinoma

Hi TamV, I am guessing you have been recently diagnosed? What is your drs recommending for treatment. Treatment is based on the grade of the cancer & several other things.

I did a forum search here in the archives & found some old posts. This forum is terribly slow & my thoughts are some of the information could be outdated.

If you are unsure of anything being recommended for treatment, by all means get a 2nd opinion or even a third. Educate yourself as much as you can.

Hi TamV,

I’m sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis. There are 4 common treatment options. Depending upon your stage and grade, you could receive 1, 2, 3 or all 4 treatments. They are: surgery (either lumpectomy or mastectomy) chemotherapy, radiation, and/or hormone blocker therapy (a daily pill.) typically surgery or chemo are the two most common ways to start treatment.
