Surgery went well and I'm off to Chicago

The pre-cancer gyn surgery went well and I was happy to see my Dr. Michelle. Now, I'm on my way back to the nursing home after three weeks of sickness. We are having a meeting with all medical personel and family on Tuesday. Then we should know about how much time Dad has to make a decision on retirement/nursing homes. Thank you for the  cards, and Deb, it was absolutely wonderful of you to call. I loved talking with you and some day we will meet. BTW, I am not kidding, in the recovery room, I woke up singing
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I thought I heard a nurse singing it but maybe not. I asked one of the nurses if anyone was singing and apparently one of the nurses does sing so who knows. Love and Hugs, Di

It is possible you were singing. I did some time in the recovery room and some people coming out of anesthetic did some really bizarre things. That was one reason I was always worried about having it. I never heard that I did anything too bad, except flashing the surgeon who did my mastectomy to show him my reconstruction after I had the colonoscopy. I opened my eyes and saw him there and he did not know I had gone for recon, so I pulled my gown up and showed him my new breast and the other of course. ROTHFL I still get a hoot when I think of doing that. Oh well, with age you can really get away with stuff like that. Hugs MK

Di: I am so glad that your surgery went well and that you have that behind you now! I know that tomorrow will be hard but remember that you will have lots of support from all of us here. Remember to not push to hard. You still need some "down" time for yourself.
