hi everyone,
I haven't posted for simply ages but I do lurk from time to time to keep up with things! You have all stated that you like good news so please celebrate my three year anniversary with me! I was diagnosed on April 30 2003 mascestomy on may 28 followed by chemo and radiation.Treatment finished Nov 2003 then tamoxifen for 5 yrs.
I am well, and my medical team continue to take good care of me. I had a bone scan a month ago which has come up NED. My back pain I think can be attributed to osteoporosis & an old vertebrae fracture. My onc is considering changing Tamoxifen to Armidex but I will need a further bone density scan before we finally make that decision.
I retired in June last year and now don't know how I had time to go to work! My days are full keeping up with grandchildren, enjoying my music and embroidery - I am doing cross stich sampler and also some addictive ukranian whitework. I recently shouted myself a Tyros2 keyboard (music) and am having such a lot of fun with it Not to mention enjoying the company of my DH.
I wish you all well especially the newbies who have joined in the last three years. This is a d*** disease which none of us wanted. But I must say that being part of this Board has certainly made the journey easier.
Love to you all
Kath
