Venting...A very mean disease...

No don't delete it, you need to vent! We all do! I know how angry you feel. I guess we all show our anger at this terrible disease in differnt ways. I just have been having a hard time posting lately because I am so sick and tired of our friends having to go through so much all the time. I'm in a funk knowing Cathi and others are fighting so hard. I need my behind kicked!!!! Cathi has had so many trials and she only deserves our love and prayers not more trouble. Infection, as we all know is a problem that needs to be cleaned up before proceeding. Hugs and love, MK

Joyce: I didn't know that there was any other kind of lemons other than sour! That's what makes them so unique and wonderful! Don't apologize for writing what you did and as the others have said, don't delete it. This disease sucks to put it bluntly. I agree w/ you about the tests and the drs. I am attempting to go back to my original onco because the new one didn't want to continue to refill the pain meds that I had been on for 5 yrs. She decided that I needed to go on oxcyton or morphine. Excuseeeeee meeeee. I know how to take the pain meds and how to make them work. I told her that I didn't know what the future held but I didn't want to use pain med that I might need later. I told her that 4 broken ribs were cause for my increase in taking the meds and she laughed. She said that if I was in pain then maybe we had better order some more tests. I don't need anymore darn tests. I just need an onco that cares and listens. It's not fair what so many of our members are having to go thru and the number of new members that have drs that are NOT explaining test results or ordering tests to insure that there isn't any cancer. If anything is going to get done, it is going to have to be us..the women that are dealing w/ this disease on a daily basis. We are the ones that are going to have to stand up and make the medical and political community listen.

Cathi and her dd have my prayers. Please keep us updated.

Thank you all so much for listening to me rant and rave. I talked to Cathi last night and she will have to get a new bone. The reason she is staying in the hospital is they operated and removed the old bone. So far the doctor does not think the problem is infection. If this continues they will operate on Wednesday. I told her about all your posts and she just said awwwwwwwww thats so nice. She wanted me to thank you all. I told her I posted about her because she would never complain and there comes a time when you need all your friends wishes and prayers. Thanks so much and....Yes Jo-Ann she did remember how you all helped her so much. She was telling me about it last night. She told me that was just before I bought my toaster. Deb you made a good point Lemons are sour. That one made me laugh. Never did a name suit a mood more than lemon did the day of her surgery. I was really sour. I read your post and chuckled and gave myself a thunk and said Dah. Mk I know you have had your plate full. Kathy and Deb she said thanks for the wishes. Candy it was so nice to find out I am not the only lemon lover. Thanks again so much for your thoughts and prayers. Hope my next post about this is a lemon with a smiley face. Joyce

OK, I'm late in posting.  See what happens when I don't drive that mustang?????  I didn't know until today that this has happened to Cathi.  You are in my prayers, hun.  I pray this will be your best procedure and that you will benefit from it and be glad you did it.

A bone in your arm needs to be replaced, so, request Betsy Ross's bone.  Maybe it mummified.  You should at least check it out, no?  It would only augment your quilting and sewing technique, not that you need it. 

 

Joyce I know about venting.  Speaking as a professional ventee, let me tell you, it's very healing to speak to people who will listen and respond in a way that actually helps, and we do.  I have been reading posts from the new women who have gotten results that sound ambiguous, and am so glad that they have found ornery women like us.  I used the advice and am glad we're still here to give it.  As far as getting on the government and researchers, and where's the money going, I detect a movement in this country coming on fast.  Let's continue this course, and join others in their missions.  It will help those with power help us better (and it feels good to see others with you protesting).
