Patti:
I'm glad you found us. Candy and I arrived on this site at the same time, and I'm three years out, too. You'll be getting to know us and the other regulars soon if you stick around. Ask your questions, feel free. Someone will have had your experience or know someone who did, so you'll get some good feedback. I Got Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book early on and it was a great reference. Other books helped with my psycholgical needs, but that one was most informative about the disease. For so many, bc is now manageable. We are lucky, but unfortunately not everyone is.
We stick together and have even had gatherings where we have met one another. This is a small enough group so people get to recognize one another online and begin to get comfortable venting. Welcome! BC is a club no one wants to join, but you certainly picked the right spot for support. I was young (38) and I had very little support in my home but much extended support from mom and DMIL. I was lucky and not. DH was very unsupportive, but it was a limitation for him, and I've kept him around and now we're enjoying some good stuff. I had a young child (3 years old) too.
I hope you can tell us about yourself.
