Talked to the nurse....

and thought that I would let you all know that the polyp that they removed during the D & C was BENIGN!!!!!  

Also, she said that there were precancerous cells in the tissue that was taken.  She said there was Dysplasia and abnormal cells on the lower uterus /outer part of cervix . She told me that the doctor (which is out of town for the week) will fill me in at my follow up as to the treatment he is planning.  So guess that I wait until March 9 to hear what he has to say  (this was my original followup appt.). The  nurse did assure me to not spend time worrying about this, that if the doctor would have felt it needed immediate attention he would have moved the appt. up closer.  So I am going to try real hard to not let this bother me until then.

Really wonderful, I just love the sound of B9. What I wonder is can anyone remember who started the B9? Hate to admit it, but I was so dumb I had to work on it a bit to figure out what they were saying. Someone mentioned doing a celebration dance to B9, and I remember Connie talking about her naked candle dance. What I can not recall is who started the B9? Any help? Can't add much to what has been said but will be waiting to see how March 9 goes. Thinking of you.

Deb, ((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))! Wonderful. Just as I thought. Mine was dyspasia too. What they told me the second time was that they never know which will turn into cancer and which would not. But with our history they will take care of it. Love, Di

When I had my hysterectomy 10 years ago (because of benign fibroids) I asked about having it done vaginally.  (I'm a great coward).

The gynae said that even though the recovery takes longer with the abdominal way, it's a much better method from a long term point of view.  He also said that if they do it vaginally it's difficult to get the ovaries out as well, and he strongly advised removal of the ovaries because of the possible risk of ovarian cancer later on.   So I had it done the abdominal way - including the ovaries -  and it was OK.  You need to be kind to yourself afterwards and to follow their advice about not lifting.  I was told not to lift anything heavier than 6 pounds for 6 weeks.
