As usual the prep was worst than the test. Dr did remove a couple of polyps but he said they looked benign. He found some diverticula. But all in all he said he didn't think I would need to drink that stuff for another ten years. That's fine with me. By that time I may not know what I am drinking or even be around. LOL. I am supposed to take it easy today because of the polyp removal. My abdomen hurts with a dull ache, but I really hurt in my jawline. I don't know if it is lymph nodes hurting or whether they used a mask when they put me out. Sometimes anesthesiologists really press in that area to hold masks on. Because of my other problems they did put me out rather than the normal twilight sleep. But I was only gone 35 minutes, so how much could that have hurt me?
Now the latest on my friend in the "big" hospital in Warren. As of last night nothing had been diagnosed. He is now going into week seven. The last test they did was to take blood, separate white cells and tag one then return the blood to him and with nuclear tests they will watch as to where that white cell heads. They are still looking for a source of infection somewhere. I was impressed that a hospital in Warren would have nuclear medicine. I guess the CT scan of the lungs showed nothing unusual. He has been in the hospital now nine days. They live on a very limited retirement income and Medicare with a not real great supplemental insurance. I don't even want to think what this will do to them financially.
Hugs, MK
