Doc found lumps waiting for test

Hi

I hope someone can help ease my mind.

In 1999 had hystorectomy becuase cancer was suspected had left overy removed beacuse of cancer in 2006. Went to doc beacuase keep getting a sharp pain in both breast and upper arms breasts are swollen and have a greenish and red discharge from nipples. When doc did exam he said he found a few lumps in each breast. I am only 36 years old am very scared. He order blood test mamogram and ultrasound. Is it comon for doc's to order both at same time? I am from northern alberta canada and our hospitals are so backed up I don't know when the test will be. I hope i will have dates tomorrow for the test. There is a history of not only breadt cancer but cancer in both sides of the family. I am scared. I can not get it out of  my mind. When alone all I want to d is cry. I can not look at my husband becuase i cry.

I can imagine your fright! You are young to be dealing with all of this, but you are not alone. There are many young women who have had to go through what you are. It is good that your doctor is being thorough in ordering tests. You will not know anything for sure until you get results. My best guess is that you will have to have lumps removed for a definitive answer, especially since you have already had cancer in an ovary. When I was 42 I had a hysterectomy and the path report showed precancer. I thought nothing of it at the time, but 16 years later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. First you have to find out if you have cancer, if it is they will know from the tests the stage and be able to treat you accordingly. It is said now that breast cancer is much like diabetes, it is a chronic condition that must be treated to keep under control. I hope and pray that is not your situation. Hi there

Had the Ultrasound and mamo done. She took 26 photo's of each breast when she did the ultrasound. Now have to wait until November 30 for the results of them as well as the blood work that was done. I thank you for listening. My husband just does not want to talk about it. He keeps saying I am fine and nothing is wrong I hope he is right. I wish they would tell you something when they do the tests at the hospital but they wont. All they said is if the Doc wants a biospy I have to go to the city becuase they do not do it it. It is the waiting game I find hard. The last two times it did not bother me but for some reason it is this time.
