I've been wondering this for a while, although I'm sure it's different for everyone (heck, it's even different for myself different times), but I was just wondering what kind of "tired" or fatigue you all feel with CFIDS?
Personally, I get all of it, but I most notice that I do a chore, or run errands and then I have to come home and just crash...couch or bed, but my mind is racing - not "tired" at all, but my body can't move! It makes me feel lazy - and I'm far from it...a fit 26 year old girl...but I feel so lazy, like I could lay in front of the tv or work on puzzles for a long time. I have a hard time sleeping although it's been better lately, but I guess what I'm getting at is this.
My first BIG bout with CFS was after a flu and I really couldn't get out of bed for almost 2 weeks. I couldn't even lift up my phone to type a text message and slept about 20out of 24 hours in the day and still felt exhausted. Now I feel exhausted all the time, and sometimes there are weeks where I come home and have to nap or fall right to sleep at my desk...but others, my mind and eyes are wide awake, but my body just can't do anything.
Sorry if I'm not explaining this great, but I'm interested, since fatigue is such a huge part of this, what "kind" of tired you all are and what you experience and if anything seems to help?
Since I started Savella for fibro and cut my Celexa down to 10 mg at night, I've been sleeping much better...even through the whole night one night last week, but still not a refreshing sleep. Before that Melatonin was all that could get me to sleep, but once I awoke to go to the bathroom there was no going back to sleep.
Thanks and I'm interested to hear your responses!
