my neighbor said in a loud voice that i'm lazy. i have been fuming. how am i going to learn to handle these insults? confused

If it were me I'd invest in some fire ants and make sure they found their way into her home.  Better yet, if she happens to lounge around outside tanning...wave to her as the fire ants do their thing!

If thats too much for you, then try ignoring her.  I deal with enough ignorant people throughout the day.  The last thing I need is a neighbor high on their horse judging me.  At least you know you can find support and take comnfort in knowing we know you are not lazy, but suffering from a terrible disease.  With friends like your neighbor, who needs enemies!

One day there will be a cure, meanwhile we must do our best to carry on.

Can I give you some of my "mom advice?"
My sons are always calling each other names.

Son : "He called me a 'Poopyhead!""

Me: "Well, ARE you a Poopyhead?"

Son: "No."

Me: "Okay then, you know you aren't a poopyhead and that's what matters."

Your neighbor can call you anything. He can call you a Purple Barcalounger. It doesn't mean it's true.

Here's another view for you, Maebee.

When people speak they don't reveal the real truth of a situation necessarily. They are usually revealing a part of themselves that they unconsciously suspect might be what they are.

NEVER judge yourself based on somebody else's opinion of who you are. In fact, don't even judge yourself. Just evaluate who you are based on your own deepest principles and live by them. You cannot go wrong doing that.

Feel sorry for the woman that she doesn't know enough to know what she's doing!!
