Hi, I am so sorry to read both accounts of not so simple surgery.
Chronic pain is an illness of its own. I don't have the same problems as you both but have chronic pain and daily headaches. Shilly, if you need an anti-depressant because you are depressed then it might help you. I am on Nortriptyline for Neuralgia. It is not a dose for treating depression. It does not bring my pain to a halt but it has helped in other ways (sleep and suppresses nerve spasms for me). I have lived with canker sores as long as I can remember and know what kind of pain you are in. I sometimes put salt directly on them which stings but helps them heal. I also buy stuff at the drug store to use to help them along. I imagine you are taking something for the oral thrush too? Someone mentioned the benefits of olive leaf extract in Fibro section. I have not tried it yet but wonder if it might help you in some way.
Are you allowed or able to sit in salt water to help you heal?
Not much help but I am indeed sorry to read of your health challenges.
Take care.
Loring
