PamelaK, hi, it is nice to meet you. I am sorry for the circumstances though. Going through a divorce is very stressful & hard on our CFS. Then add the stress of money & the need for a job & you could be crashing badly just when you need the energy. I had to quit my job when I first became ill & have not been able to work since. I am on Social Security Disability due to my CFS, Fibro & depression. Whether you can work or not only you can tell, some work very well & with no problems & some can work by pushing through each day as best they can. I am sorry you are having to deal with this, do you have a profession that you can fall back on? If you can find something where you are in an office & sitting most of the day might be an option.
Giving up my job was really hard for me & I tried to hang on to it with both hands but it just slipped through my fingers. I was so sick I just couldn't do the job anymore. I missed more & more days of work until I realized I was letting my employer down & so I told them I would be leaving & they thanked me for making it easy for them. I mourned my job for a long time until I came to a point of acceptance that I was ill. I still wish I had my old life but I am okay with my new life. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Hugs going your way, Denise

Hi Jewelry Lady. Oh my gosh you are my new best friend!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST TO ME, and so quickly! I've never been on a chat board and have NOT ONE PERSON I can share my cfs/fibro with... (without feeling worse about because of their non desire to believe or have a conversation about it. I will be chatting with you soon as I just wanted to touch base with you before getting started on My day. HUGS Pam

Pamela, how are you doing? Have you been able to work? Are you looking into disability?
I have had a busy day. The battery in my car died & I had to walk to the hardware store to buy a new one. Living in a small town is so nice at times. Not only did they find the right battery for me but also gave me a ride home & put the battery in my car for me. I don't think I could have done it on my own. So, my car is running & I was able to pick up my grand daughter from school.
Just wanted to see how you were doing, I hope everything is okay or as okay as it can be. Hugs, Denise
