SHHH !! You'll wake the hibernating sloths....
Maybe it's just because there is such a strong seasonal component to my health, but I'm inclined to think that most CFS sufferers are likely to hit the same "winter brick wall" of lack of oomph as I do.
This year I hoped I might avoid it...had just started on a new organic diet, was much healthier than earlier in the summer - although that's not saying much - then at the end of October I went away on a fortnight's holiday to Sri Lanka and Thailand, ending up in the Kho Samui in the South. Gorgeous sunshine, lovely fresh organic food, no gluten anywhere in sight...maybe it was the insecticides that they sprayed us with on the aircraft, maybe it was the tired old food the supermarkets sell here, or just the fact that when I came home I was switching the lights on at midday, but when I came home it was as if my body just lapsed into instant biochemical despair ! All the benefits of those years of getting acclimatised to the Scottish weather, being able to work outside in all conditions with nary a thought...gone. I spend all my time with the heating on, and just can't get back to feeling fit.
Oh well, if it's not weather for gardening then it looks like it's the bookworming/cybersurfing season.... anyone read any good books recently ?
