CFS and Bipolar

Anybody struggling with both bipolar disorder and CFS? How do you manage? The chronic pain is sending me into a downward spiral. I can't work anymore and a lot of my coping is social. I can't drive because I fall asleep while driving. I'm stuck and I don't know how to keep myself from going down hill. I've known about the bipolar for years, but the CFS is a new diagnosis and I don't know what to do with it.

Hi LuRock,

Nice to meet you. I've had CFS for years. My doctor prescribed adderal and it really helps. If you are feeling like you are going down hill please get some help ASAP. Call your doctor's office and if you can't get some answers/help right away go to an ER and tell them what is going on. Also there are help lines listed in the front of all phone books. You don't have to feel this awful...there IS help but you are the one who has to ask for it. You need to find someone who can drive you. If you have a hard time asking for help then ask someone you trust to make the phone calls for you. I've had to do that before.
