hi all

I am new to all this and only just been told that I have cfs, at first I was told that I have ms then that all changed to cfs when all my test came back normal.

My main problems are vertigo, feeling (tired not all the time) numb feet, legs, and hands with pins and needles I also get really cold feet, and problems with my bladder.

 

I find that all this problems get worse just before my period starts and when I get to warm.

 

Do any body have the same problems?

Hi Hug and welcome to HealingWell. I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. I see you were tested for MS, but did your doctor test you for autoimmune diseases like lupus? I'm currently being treated for lupus and I flare up prior to having my period and am also really sensitive to the heat. It's just something to keep an eye on, especially if you start to develop more symptoms.

Has your doctor given you anything to treat your symptoms? I hope your doc is able to help to help you start to be able to function better and alleviate some of your symptoms.

Hi and Welcome to HW,I must say you have got alot going on and I can see why you are worried.Hippimom is right you need to be tested for autoimmune diseases.That way you and your Doctor can start to weed out different diseases and get to the core of what is causing you all this pain.Good luck and please let us know what you find out.

I have had CFS since 1983.....23 years!!  During this time I have had relapses and remissions (remissions for up to 10 years with no symptoms!)  I have had neurological symptoms with my CFS.  The doctors tested for everything under the sun, including MS, lupus, etc.  I have had several MRI's during this time, and they have all been clear.  I have numbness, tingling, as well as visual problems at times during relapses.  These symptoms can come on for 3-4 months, then totally disappear for years.  In the beginning, my symptoms were more chronic, but now they have subsided quite a bit, and only come on very rarely.  I try to take care of myself by getting plenty of rest, and I also do exercise within reason.  Hope this helps ease your mind a little.

Hi hug,

I really recommend you get tested for Lyme Disease because it would account for all of your symptoms and the monthly cycle link is classic with it.

How long have you had your symptoms?  You may not test positive for Lyme, even if you have it, if you don't get the right tests and/or they're not interpreted right.
