i picked up the book mentioned on this website yesterday. I was reading this while in the store and also most screamed "this is me!!!"

this feel's right. I cannot explain it, but for the first time in 6 months, I feel that I have found what doing this to me/done this to me.

Please, read about this if you suffer from stress. Don't let it do to you what it has done to me.

I'm going to follow the diet listed in the book, which is basically rulling out all carbs (white flour) and such. I've been eating like crap the past 4 months (complete junk food with salts and sweets). I've been feeding this thing all alone, and possibly have made myself hypoglycemic in the process. The other day, while at the book store, i didn't have sugar all day. I started feeling very tired, run down, and light headed. I went to the cafe and got a iced coffee with a lot of sugar in it. 10 minutes later, I was fine. This is scary, but I know I can beat it.

Orion, I really hope the info in the book will help. I'd love to hear more about it.

In the past 3 days, I've been able to wake up, and walk every morning (2-3 miles.. at a good pace). I've been able to stay on a strict, healthy diet... I'm not craving any sweets.

My neck pain is completely GONE. This is a pain that has been here since last Jan, and now it's completely gone. I cannot tell you how great it feels to be able to move my head, and not have my neck hurt. Also, my energy appears to be coming back little by little. I have burst here and there, and I'm in a great freaking mood.

I've been on the natural meds listed in the Adrenal Fatigue book for 5 days. Is it that? Who knows... all I know is... I'm feeling better, and it's a great feeling!

The diet is composed of 6 meals a day. Mainly complex carbs, veggies, proteins and health fats. I eat every 2-3 hours, and taper my carbs off after my 4th meal (around 4pm). I do this in conjunction with the natural meds from the website, as well as exercise every morning. I cannot believe how much better I've been feeling. I can wake up fast in the mornings.... I cannot explain it.

The exercise isn't intense by any means. They recommmend just 20 minutes of walking in the mornings and stretching/breathing in the evenings. I've "kicked it up a notch" as Emeril would say and I walk about 40-45 minutes at a more speedy pace, but I slow down if I get too tired. So far this week, It's been great.

Yes, I can say that if m y diet was like it is now 4 months ago, leading to today, I probably wouldn't have gained so much weight, and might have been a little bit better off.

Definitely cut out the processed stuff. I eat 5-6 servings of veggies a day (brocolli, green beans, .. your basic non-starchy veggies). I also keep my carbs to Rolled oats, brown rice, and fruits. My proteins consist of shakes, chicken, fish, red meats, and eggs. My fats are All natural PB (make sure the only ingredients are peanuts and salt), and pecans. You can also do olive oils on salads on in food for fat. Just make sure to limit it, because things like nuts and oil are very high in calories. 2 tbsps of peanut butter is 220 calories.

If you're going to exercise in the mornings, do it before breakfast. Another thing this book recommends is cutting out caffine, but say "Ok" to Green tea. That's what I have in the mornings, child Green tea. It's very refreshing

I was really hoping to hear that you would keep getting better but I'm glad to hear you are still putting up the good fight. Congrats on the weight loss - I have about 50 to lose. Hang in there and thanks for the update.

Well, I start my acupuncture tomorrow.  I'm going to give this a whirl, and see how things go.  It says it's suppose to relieve stress and fatigue symptoms.  I've tried everything so far that western medicine has to offer, let's see what this can do for me.  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Lyn. thanks for visiting and sharing that info about effexor. I really hope you don't have CFS - it can be so hard to cope with. Hopefully it's just some virus or bug that has just knocked you out for a while. I hope you get your energy back soon. Take care

Hi, Orion,I am new here too. after reading all the posts, I had same feelings as most of you. man, i am suffering the almost same symtoms too!! here is my story: I started feeling sick too years ago. summer 2004, i started having a rash area on my back neck. it's itchy and same time the lymph nodes swellened around the neck. i could feel it by my hand. i went to doctor ..they said it's allergy. then, pretty soon, i suddendly felt super tired. before i'm kind of like you. workout all the time, play sports. then i lost my appetite.. had mild stomach pain. so, doctor said i was stressed out and had ulcer. then i was on Zintac. it worked really well at first. then later on, within a couple of month, i was ok. only lost some weight due to not eating too much meat. not much fatigue. but, around NOv. 2004, i got pretty bad fatigue. had to stay home a lot. around Christmas time..it's the worst time ever..most time just lying on my bed.. so, i started searching info on line about CFS. then, i found out stress could cause CFS. so, i started meditating. and doing some relaxing stuff..it worked again. i gradually got better in 2005. summer , 2005. i went back to China. btw, i am chinese student. i didn't feel any fatigue at all during the summer. and did lots of sports. but good time didn't last long. after i came back, late summer 2005, the fatigue came back ..not as bad as before. but i had to stop doing the workout .. felt really tired all the time..then i searched again untill early this year. i found out Amalgam filling could cause Mercury toxification. and that could cause CFS..since i got one filling in 2004, i thought maybe that 's reseason. then i went to a Mercury free dentist to get the filling removed. and i found a nice forum about the Mercury toxification. started doing detox myself.. then again, i felt better later on. acctually pretty good after five month detox. but two weeks ago, i did too much exercise. then, it relapsed again..How frustrated is that!!..it's always on and off...from my understanding,
there would have several possible sources could cause CFS:
Stress, Parasites (btw, i think i gonna give the herb humaworm a try), Heavy metal toxification, Lyme disease etc.
my friend told me about lyme disease yesterday. so, i started searching info again. i am like all of you , so confused and frustrated and desparate. i would like to try everythign to get back to normal.
I guess i will do a test first (coz it's covered by Health center on campus.) see whether i could do a antiboitic trial..Kind of sick of the controveral about the tests. same thing in the tests for Heavy metal .. not reliable at all. gotta try to do some trial..
sorry for the long post, i wish everyone finds the right source of his or her illness.

Hey all!

   Well, as far goes as the possibilities of it still being lyme, it's very hard for me to get to a LLMD. 

1.  My doctor isn't going to give me the referal

2.  I don't have the money to pay out of pocket

3.  I would go to another doctor, but they're not just going to give me a referal off the bat over a hunch.  They're going to want to run more tests, probably the same tests that have already been run. 

I understand the lack of consistancy and accuracy with Western Blots and the other tests that LabCorp runs.  However, it doesn't make sense how when all this started to get bad... I took a vacation and felt 100% better.  After being back home for 5 days, I started feeling bad again.  I just don't see how that could be Lyme.  I was very stressed for over 6 months for financial reasons.  I just bought a house, got married, took on a big financial burden, and stress from work.  I know stress has a lot to do with this.

I hope this will continue to disipate over the next few months with acupuncture.  I'm not sure what else to do. 

Thank you all for your concern.  Please do not take this as a smack to the face.  I appriciate all of your concerns, however, If I keep going in the physcial direction of this, I'll not only drive myself crazy, but go broke in the process.  I cannot allow myself to continue to stress over this.

Hmmmm...I just responded in another post that I didn't think prednisone was used for CFS, but maybe it can help. Be sure to let your doctor know that it helped your neck. I'm glad the accupuncture is going well.

I forgot to mention, that I finally ordered the Humaworm.  I'm going to give the parasites thing a try.  It was rather inexpensive too.  We shall see.

Orion, I was just reading the three pages in this post and I was wondering if the diet or the acupuncture ever worked for you.  It seems you are still sick due to the fact that you just answered my post on feeling of sickness in the body.  Did you do a stool test for parasites? That is my next move.
