possible thyroid issues

I suffer from chronic fatigue, however i thought it was due to my depression.  I can not get enough sleep, i cant fall asleep and when I do i can not get my but out of bed.  For the past two years my doctor has been trying everything to treat my depression and fatigue.  Today I had an an appointment with my ob/gyn because my period has been irregular or absent for nearly five months, I am not pregnant and my primary doc thought this was due to stress... The ob/gyn beleives i have thyroid issues.  I looked it up online and some of the symptoms match me to a T, anxiety, depression, difficulty sleeping, weight gain, irratibility, foggy mind... I will not get the tests back for a week but i pray i finally have an answer to a long long ongoing problem.

Thyroid imbalance is a know cause of CFS, ADD, Cancer, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Adrenal Fatigue, depression, PCOS, etc. Still, most docs do not recognize it or perform the correct tests to test for it.

BTW...your thyroid test may come back normal. All of my thyroid blood tests that doctors gave to me came back normal, because I have enough thyroid hormones in my blood. I had to order my thyroid test from a lab that specializes in hormone testing and it proved that I did have low thyroid function (tissue resistance to thyroid hormones).In other word I have enough thyroid hormones in my blood, but it's not being converted into my tissues. You might want to ask you doc to give you a T3 test too, because it is the test needed to test for tissue resistance to thyroid hormones.
