Tru, I am SO happy for you. I hope this is the breakthrough that you needed. I'm also very grateful to Orion for all of the research he has done and for looking into adrenal fatigue and for educating people about it. It's nice because both of you can now talk to doctors about it and as they see improvements with treatment, they will hopefully start to recognize that it is very real. I know it is probably frustrating to feel like you have to help educate the doctor, but think of the people that you will be helping on down the line. Other people that will go to your endo will benefit from all the info you have given him. I think it is also great that he is open to your info because a lot of docs would dismiss it and not prescribe what he is prescribing for you.
Take care and I look forward to continuing to hear how you are doing.
Yes...I was thinking about
that too. Everyday I find something new....and everyday I wonder why doctors ignor hypthroidism(tissue resistance to thyroid hormones) and adrenal fatigue...etc. Why they allow people to continue to suffer.
I will ask my doc all these questions when I see him in 6 weeks and I will bring more info.
My doc told me to get wild yam for my low progesterone level and put it on my wrist daily...but the health store that I went to didn't have it...they only had oral capsules. I saw a brand that a holistic doc recommended in one of my books called ProGest so I bought it.
Today, I went online and saw that wild yam is very good for the endocrine system, and it balances the hormones progesterone and cortisone(adrenals). So, my doc knows something about
natural treatments!
Today, l learned that low progeterone and estrogen dominance(which is what I have according to my test results) caused hair loss, hypothyoidism(we need progesterone to nourish the thyroid)...etc. Docs don't even tell us these things. If we are loosing hair they are quick to give us a topical treatment...and forget about
what could be going on in the inside.
