The doctor that is going to treat me!
I have finally found a doctor that is going to treat me based off my saliva results, symptoms and the fact that I've rulled out everything else. I've already talked with her via email and phone (tonight). My first appt with her is on Friday (via Phone) because she is very far away. Once she has all my lab work and my patient history she will make HER diagnosis and start prescribing meds. She told me that Cortef and Armour is going to be needed to help my Adrenal and Thyroid.
She is going to do this in a way that I've read about. She start off Cortef very low (2.5) and slowly moves up over 3 weeks. After Cortisol levels are brought up, she will introduce Armour to my system. If I take both at the same time it could cause a problem. If I take too much Cortef at once, it could cause a T3 dump. This must be done slowly.
I cannot tell you how great it feels to finally find a doctor who cares and listened to me tell my entire story without interupting me. She is great!
I'll keep everyone updated on how things go over the next couple of weeks.
Wonderful!!! I dumped my doc. One day I realized I'm helping myself he's just supplying me with Armour. Also, I found the thyroid glandular that the doc in one of my books recommended. It's sold in health food stores, but I have to get it online. It's has adrenal, thyroid, pituitary, and other hormones in it. It's called T 100. I have one more perscript
ion of Armour. Hope I'll be well by then.
Armour is a good med. I like taking it, because it really helps. You will notice a major diference when you take it. You will automatically know that that's what your body needs.
Orion, I told you that too much hydrocoritsone can prevent T4 to T3 conversion....and I felt it. That's why I read so many books...every book said something different. The parts that I followed is the parts that they all agree on.
Make sure you pay attention to what's going on. You don't want to take it too long 16 days was too much for me. I told you I had to stop taking it...it was bringing me backwards.
Hydorcortisone sucked for me. Armour is lovely.
