I wanted to add to this thread by saying that Endocinologist are the worst doctor to see about adrenal fatigue. Almost all of them do not believe in Saliva testing. I've had my adrenals test by 2 different Endo's and they said I was fine.
I finally found a doctor willing to treat me on Cortef and Armour. I'll let you all know in 7-10 days how I'm doing.
Yes, that's why I dropped my Endo. Even though he was treating me with what I asked for I felt as if he was still ignoring me. I found it hard to visit a doctor that didn't know or believe that there was such a thing as adrenal fatigue not matter how many article and books that I showed to him...and worst of all, he still does not believe that conversion problems should not be treated with thyroid hormones...or at all. :( I still can't believe that he said that. After hearing him say that I still ask, "Well how do you treat conversion problems?" Still, he said that he doesn't and that I should eat different foods and everything will be fine.
The next month, he was shocked when I showed him my toxin levels. Then he realized that toxins had to be the cause of my conversion problems. Still, I refuse to visit him again, because I feel that I diagnosed myself and treated myself...I just needed him for the prescript
ion not to feel like I was an idiot or something for saying that I had adrenal fatigue and a thyroid problem.
Now that I found a recommend thyroid glandular that I could get from a health food store I don't need him at all. After all, he does have me one the 2nd smallest dose. I could get a larger dose from using the glandular that also includes adrenal, pitutary, hypothalamus glands and other needed hormones to assist in adrenal fatigue and low thyroid function.
