I'm a 19 year old college student. I think I have CFS. I'm pretty sure I do. I've been tired for at least four years, maybe longer. I don't remember exactly. What I do know, is that I don't remember what it's like not to be tired.
I've had blood tests done by two doctors and they haven't found anything.
I had one doctor tell me, "I can't find anything wrong with you, but maybe when you have a career and you're married and you have children, maybe then you'll feel better." Yeah... right. No comment necessary.
I went to another one today. This one was even worse. He spent the entire session trying to coerce me to say that I'm depressed. And asked me questions like:
-What do you think is wrong with you?
-If you were me, and someone came to you and said they were tired all the time, what would you say?
-How do you KNOW that you're tired?
It was awful. He interrogated me the whole time and he obviously decided from the beginning that I was depressed, and every question he asked was loaded in a way to try to make me say I'm depressed. He wouldn't even consider my tiredness from a medical point of view.
What can I do? Am I destined to be tired forever? I don't see any way out.
