My exhaustion has been SO bad lately. I slept for over 12 hours last night and I am SO exhausted. I take a B complex, Vit D, and Iron. It can't be from lack of those. So my only guess is that its the fibro/cfs.
I also know I have been over doing it with work, but I can't help it, I have to work, or else we'd be homeless.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions on having at least SOME energy?
Thanks in advance!

i would suggest a sleep study to rule out apnea and such,
I take ritalin 10 mg in the am and pm to give me a boost during the day, /I know some people take adderal or provigil.

Yes, I have had testing for anemia. My iron was low, but not THAT low. Hence why I take iron supplements now.
And I have had a sleep study. All it showed was that I was not getting enough REM sleep, less then a minute the whole night. I thought the Lunesta would help with that though.
*sighs*

Sarah,
You are on a lot of meds... Are they all from the same doctor or different ones? Anyway, maybe a little chat with your pharmacist might help you discern if any of the meds are leading to your fatigue levels.
I have fibro and take malic acid for energy. Malic acid levels in fibros are often low in the mitochondria of the cells. The mitochondria are the place where we convert glucose to energy and ATP via the Krebs cycle. One of the components necessary for this process is Malic acid. If you don't want to add another pill to your lineup you could add an apple a day. Malic acid is made commercially from apple skins. Worth a try and inexpensive.

Thank you Jeannie, I will give that a try! At this point, anything that'll help is good! :)

I get mine from Puritan... and word to the wize. Although improvements weren't seen in test groups until 2400 mg a day was reached you can't just start taking that much or you will get diarrhea. Start out slow with one tab a day and work your way up, seeing just how much you tolerate. Malic acid is the fruit acid thats used in hair products and skin products to soften your hair and skin. It can be a bit rough on your "innereds" until you get used to it. It's the number one thing after my prozac that has gotten me thru this dd.
