Hi, my immune system isn't so great. It doesn't help that I'm small for my age; 5'2'', weighing 102.
I've been diagnosed with mono and my body is really struggling with it. I'm losing even more weight. I've been getting non-stop fever, I sweat until I'm drenched, my stomach hurts because my liver and spleen are swollen, headache, body pain, barely able to stay up from bed long from being fatigued, swollen throat, heart racing.. the works.
I've only had it for a week now and it's already just breaking me down. I've been to the hospital twice about it and they say they can't do anything and send me home with no relief at all from my fever or pain.
Just to know I have a week to 2 more weeks of this if not longer is really making me anxious. I even had a mental break down last night about it... I'm not sure how I'm supposed to manage my symptoms- pain killers barely do me justice especially when I can't even swallow them.
Does anyone have any idea how I can manage the stress, anxiety and depression?
Is there any way I can manage the symptoms at all? Or is it true what the doctors say, that there's nothing you can do about it?
I'm really getting close to the end of my ropes.. if anyone has any helpful advice I'd really appreciate it.
please and Thank you.
