Can an ignored toothache affect the brain?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I've been feeling extremely tired and low and groggy, and this has coincided with a toothache that I ignored for a long time.

My dentist removed "as much of the decay" as she could, and said to come back in a few months. But it still feels darn sensitive, and I'm wondering if the infection/decay has reached the gums and this is affecting my energy levels?

Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated.

I was in dentistry for 37 years and I still remember dental issues. 

Your tooth that had work done to it....did your doctor place a white temporary filling in it to see if it would calm down by using the oil of gloves in the medicine of the filling.  If he didnt did he place a pulp cap over your pulp to try to quiet it down? 

If you have an infection in a tooth like an abcess that would firm on the tip of the root of the tooth that infection could make you feel lousy.

I say contact your dentist  you may need an antibiotic.

absolutely... infection can even go to the brain from infected teeth.

Many doctors now are using ozonated spray after doing extractions and
replacing fillings and especially rot canals.

Spirochetes are left in the gums and cause major illness.

The wrong dentist experience can ruin your health and you will think it
is this or that.

Also you may want to look into the overall condition of all of your teeth as they are an indicator of other issues too.
