Hello,
Well, after exhausting every angle, we're now focusing on my symptoms possibly being CFS.
Brief story, was diagnosed with Lyme in August 2011 after initial symptoms started June 2011. Had every test in the book, couldn't figure out what was wrong, finally tested for Lyme and bingo! Was treated with heavy abx with local LLMD for 9 months without any significant improvement. Was tested for co-infections...all negative. Then went full natural route with naturopathic practitioner who got me back to 80% or so, but still had nagging neuro symptom on left side of head. Supplements can be $$$ so laid off of this for a while.
Started seeing an osteopath December 2012 and started feeling a little better. Had a bounce in my step. Tried running again early February. One mile at very slow pace two days in a row. It's been downhill ever since. The symptoms now are different from when I had full blown Lyme. I've done multiple MRI's, seen multiple docs, you name it. Multiple ER visits for pain. Saw rheum this morning who suggested CFS. Looked it up on mayo site and am thinking this could be it. Here's my current symptoms:
Fatigue
Loss of memory or concentration
Headache of a new type, pattern or severity
Unrefreshing sleep
Extreme exhaustion lasting more than 24 hours after physical or mental exercise
Now where to go...my naturopath and I will come up with a new treatment for drainage, detox and building immunity. I should also mention that I'm on Celexa now for two weeks and Amitriptyline to help with the neuro inflammation/pain.
Thanks for reading and for any suggestions.
