It is impossible to tell the difference between CFS/ME and chronic tick-borne infections in many cases of those ill with this spectrum of symptoms. Certainly it would be expected that TBD would cause elevated ESR and hs-CRP. It will not help you differentiate, though between having just an elevation in viral titers, and having more serious bacterial infections carried by ticks. Be sure to insist that you get tested for all tick borne diseases --- borrelia burgdorferi, babesia microti, babesia WA1, bartonella henselae, bartonella quintana, and Q fever. There is also Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. It is worth shelling out the money to get tested because it is not something that can be diagnosed clinically. Get the blood tests. I also suggest using Igenex Lab in Palo Alto, CA, and Galaxy Diagnostics. If you cannot find a doctor who will test you, I suggest contacting the Lyme Disease Association for a referral.
