Welp I start my new job today (911 dispatcher). It's just basically orientation today, but ugh... I got up at 5:30am. Training is 5-8 weeks, 8-4 Monday through Friday.
I'm keeping my hopes up for getting through training quickly, and getting on the 4pm to midnight shift.... I can actually function good (well as good as can be) during those hours. But getting up early in the morning... yuck. All I want to do is go back to bed.
Why do I have to get up at 5:30am to be there by 8am? Well I have to leave by 7:15 to get there on time (in case I hit traffic)... and it takes me a bit to wake up enough to function to drive.
I sure could use some prayers to get through the early mornings, and hopefully get a later shift after training is done. I'd really really rather not work, but I need money for bills... so I'm trying to give it all I can, and hopefully not drain or push myself too bad.
I really don't have any other option but to work. Social Security Disability would only pay me a max of $500some dollars a month, and that won't cover my bills and expenses... and I have a good bit of bills to get paid off before I start college.
