I have been fighting fatigue for years now as well is other things and I'm disabled from, can't work for to long at a time at all and if I do over do it I'm down for days. I use to work days and nights in a high demand autobody shop painting cars till my body couldn't take it any more and was chemical poisoned by it I also have a anxiety disorder, chemical sensitivity, diabetes and cns damage I had all the test that my Doctor could do done but living in a small town in a remout part of the bush of Alaska what kind of testing can be done to prove that I have cfs other then my doc. going by my medical history and what info on the chemicals that I had worked with that show all of my problems that I have been dealing withare on the MSDS papers?

Hi freezing, I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. It sounds like your health problems were triggered by the chemicals you were exposed to at your job. Have you been able to get any compensation for that or have you qualified for any disability? If you haven't gotten any compensation it might be worthwhile to contact a lawyer if there are any in your area. I don't know how far you are from any major city in Alaska to meet with a specialist at anytime - I have heard that some of the areas in Alaska are extremely remote though. What has your doctor done so far to treat your symptoms? Fatigue can be one of the most difficult things to treat and I think it leaves both doctors and patients feeling very frustrated. Hi freezing!

I feel so sorry for you. It's is a good thing that you know what caused your problems. Have you ever tried detoxing yourself of toxic chemicals? Do you know exactly what toxin is causing your problems?

Freezing, just yesterday I figured out that my mecury fillings cause the problems that I'm having. Today, I ordered a mineral and toxin test. I want to see what toxic elements I have too much of in my body...and what minerals are being depleted by the toxin or toxins. Knowing this will allow me to know exactly what minerals I need to take in order to get my body to function normally.

After I get my test results and get my fillings taken out I will detox my body until normal ranges show. I also know that I have to rebuild my thyroid function, because I now know that toxins have effected my thyroid(it caused me to develop hypothyroidism), but in order to rebuild my thyroid to normal function I have to get rid of the abnormal toxins.

Right now, I'm trying to find out who has the best detox program. I am checking this site for when I'm ready to detox...not sure if I will purchase from here yet.

I did have a lot of testing done 12 years ago when this frist happened to me, mri ekg's and a lot of blood work that did find some chemicals in them this was back when I was living in Anchorage I did get my work comp but I really had to fight like hell to get it after they droped me like a rock when I had to go see there doc. and said your fine go back to work, go figure. But I did finally won, but now I must live in a safe home with little or no chemicals at all. So I had to move into the bush away from the smog and chemicals even the smell of perfume I can't handle but I can live with that part of it and it helps with the anxiety parts some but the fatigue really kills me having to take daily naps and doing things slowly I have tryed detoxing as my wife works at a heath food store. my SSI hearing is coming up soon for disablity so there go's my anxiety through the roof ( great timing my Doc. just left for a weeks vac. to) but so far we have not found anything test wise for it other than the MSDS papers and the internet but I don't really think he know much about it or cares to.

Wow u guys got some great info on this I just check out your resource links, Everything I have tryed to find always when't one way or the other and it just seemed so overwelliming going from site to site just to get some info great job on this site you all.

I'd say since it has been so long since you have had extensive testing done, it would be a good idea to get more bloodwork done, if at all possible to see if anything has changed. It has to be frustrating to feel like your doc isn't too intersted in finding out what is going on with you. I know how frustrating it is to not be able to function like normal people do and to have no choice but to take a nap and not be able to do much. I hope your SSI hearing goes okay and I'm sure the stress doesn't help your health either. I haven't attempted to get SSI yet, but I have heard it is a very stressful and long process.

Yes it is so frustrating, even though I keep trying I have had to find ways around it but I still tend to over do it and yes I have blood work every 3 months for my diabetes and get them too do some other types of testing on my blood when I can. The Nurse is a good friend of mine and trys to help out on that part. Don't get me wrong not all chemical bother me so badly as others but it dose tend to kill me after over doing it to hard, work whys that I have to crawl just to go to the bathroom or bed.

I feel bad now that I had to let out my anger after going to the store and seeing two young kids in wheelchairs that look so bad off and yet here I em talking about my problems now I feel more blessed then before just knowing that I still have somewhat of a life and I feel for there parents pain.

Ask the nurse about getting a toxin and mineral test(I believe that a hair sample is better than blood), so that you will know what's going on.
