Dealing with WCB; and my Freedom to refuse their recomended treatment...

  

SO WCB, and thir Doctor  basically said IM fine... ( they are not in my body, nor do they live in the pain I do....)

and gave me recomendations to let a pain doc do a 2nd injection ( first one gave me 10 days of terrible pain, and flare up & 5 migrains ensued....) so  I opted out of the 2nd  injection...

I talekd to my own doctor & my reflexologist whom  I highly  HIGHLY...  value her input...

if 10 is best shes 9.9

WCB is...   crusing at 1 maybe

I dont trust them any more,

at first I thought They were  really trying to help me

on my side.. etc..

after figuring out   their recomended pain doc was prob on thier payrolll

I think much less of them

also 

they made me change to the physio clinic they recomended..

not the one wehre id been going & had good results

after switching to theirs

i was oput on a 5 day a week apt  thingy

way too much to ahndle with working and having family obligations which come first if & when my kids or hubby are sick...

so I missed some  WCB appointments  with phsyio  lets see 4 maybe

due to my illness or my husbands or kids.. or all of the above

they "MARKED ME as  " let me see NON Compliant"..

LOL

which is   royal  _ _ _ cant say it....  

wrong just plain old wrong

any way...

I dealing with lying employers

lying WCB

and  dr's who also are truthful

so.....

any advice as   steam rolls off me... tongiht

I am waiting to  have an MRI requested by my dr's referral doc a nuerosurgeon.. who made it clear to me

he  doesnt like WCB  and wanted me to know he does not work for them

sooo

i figured it out

I called my old phsyio

and saw them

my old massage Therapist...

and my own CHiro  - who told me  I have the RIGH to chosoe who cares for me

and I dont have to take  the advice of WCB

Iam back to work...  all be it... having some pain

but

im not going to play their game any more

NOPE

i wont

advice?? from you all who ahve  fought this good  FIGHT ?

i dint read any of the things they sent me,.,,
in fact
im fighting depression, and exhasution still jsut from the stress of so many appintmetns... and physio etc,,,
i missed appointments dod to waht i call legit reasons..
i had diaherra & the flu antoher time for a wekk
as did my hubby

we only went to see his doctor when he had flu... becasue hes diabetic...

if my kids are sick & ahve to be taken to emerg.. i ahve missed appointments...

sheesh get real



im psuhing my self just to do what i do now. neve mind play JUMp thru all our HOOPS

unless i was sick with a cold.. or got a gastro bug from work.

and they are dying,... like 5-8 people a month
im sooo tired of sorrow

Shelter - that's why you need to consult a lawyer. There are laws that are different in each state, and each case may be different. I'm not saying I condone the process, believe me! But it is what it is and the main person that can help you sort out your rights, what doctors you need to see, how to document when/why you have to cancel appointments is going to be a lawyer. Hopefully one will take your case for a contingency fee, but also ask about whether they pay the costs even if you lose. My case was lost and I had to pay $200 for a lousy transcript - costs aren't the same as lawyer's fees, and different lawyers may negotiate a different contract with you.

I know the kind of work you do, and it is hard physically and psychologically. Your lawyer may also be able to tell you whether getting treatment for what sounds like some depression will be covered.

I found out too late about my employer's policy that a worker's comp settlement of any amount would also have to include a resignation. It sounds like maybe you don't care if that happens and if you can get a good settlement maybe getting away from that job will be what you need. Don't make any hasty moves without some legal advice.
