Dreams " Scarry"

Last night I had a weird dream and I was wondering if it was well- perhaps related to the pain meds I take perhaps one of You has had the same experience ?
I dreamt that I was a baby rabbit and ma and pa rabbit's was telling me about the dangers of going out on my own ! they told me about: dogs, foxes, hunters, large birds etc. they also warned me about feeding off of the wacky weed that grows in the woods that is tended by people who smoke it here in Wyoming.
Any ways I got to go out for the first time as a big rabbit by me self I was running and hopping and lovin every minute of being free for some reason I loved running ( wonder why ? ) then all of a sudden out of no where came this "Scarry" women who started to run towards me ! ! I was real scarry so I hitched up my flannel thong and ran to the nearest hole i could find. This "scarry" woman got down on Her knee's and felt around the hole i was in then the "Scarry " women grabbed me ! ! Then She yelled out I got me a lucky rabbit's foot except it wasn't my foot she grabbed ! ! I woke up in pain ?? Any one else ever have a dream like this ???

That's a pretty wild dream there Tom but I think I know where you're coming from because there are several drugs I won't take for the same reason.WEIRD DREAMS. Anti-depressents and Dilaudid are two that come to mind right off for me.

Gosh Tom, I don't want to risk a visit from the guy's with the white coats with the extra long arms and if I start talking about my weird dreams,well who knows then? LOL.No seriously, I've talked to my Dr. about having disturbing dreams after starting a new medication and he has assured me that I'm not alone in my complaint.If I can't get rid of that side effect he finds me an alternative drug.

Hello Scarred_ for_ life. My guess as to why opiates (dare I say enhance) our "dream lives" is because our REM type sleep gets mixed into our semi-concious sleep. You know, the semi-dreaming pleasant state that we get all get into (drugs or not), just before we fall asleep.I think in our cases, the opiates extend the pleasant state for a much longer period and our pain fills in the plot, good or bad, of that nights dreams. I for one am thankfull that at least part of my life can be (enhanced ?) dreams of when I used to be able to run, jump and play because I sure as heck can't do that anymore.May all your dreams be pleasant Scarred and Tom and God Bless..............Rod

Ohhhh dear. Dreams are a regular for me anymore. I have had such vivid dreams as of late that its scary! I will dream that hubby and I got into a fight and be ticked off at him the next morning for something he didn't even do LOL. I believe that you are right in your post Hound dog, they are enhanced by our lovely and ever so hard to swallow pain meds. Funny the only thing I worried about when I was a kid was whether to get them flared jeans that were so popular back then....now I worry whether I will smack hubby in my dreams and really have had hit him for something he did not do! Ok now I'm aging myself here LOL Ya I was raised back in the 70's where things were so much simpler and easy to handle.

Grey's are setting in for the long haul and everything is sagging ha ha ha! anyway hope you all had a semi-pain free night.....
