Hello I am new to the forums and I could not find a introduction thread so here is mine...

I suffer from chronic pain and that is why I am here... looking for people that suffer or know how it is to feel under such a monster as pain can be... my Pain is a dragon. or that is what I call it...

about me...
I am Canadian and enjoy movies and video games and books...
I have been sick 9 years... with digestive problems... that give me chronic and acute pain...
I can not move around to much because of the pain... I used to be very very active but now end up close to home or in bed...

I look forward to meeting and talking with you on the boards...

hi and welcome fat man go boom. love the name!!!! you will meet lots of people here who share your probs, we lot are an advice and help sharing forum, i only recently joined too, and wonder how i managed before. I am from Scotland, i am 28, have 4 boys, married to a lawyer who is a wonderful man. I h enjoy movies, wii, and music. i have suffered all my life life, and thankfully things are looking up. Hey thanks for the warm welcome.... and I am happy to hear things are looking up.... it is nice the victories in life....

I will be around since the web is my window get out of the house... it sounds sad but I am sure many people here have similar stories....

Oh boy do I know how those darn digestive issues can cause pain. :( I have had Ulcerative Colitis for 16 years and chronic pain to go along with it. But just recently realized that all that pain is just not normal. I have also been recently diagnosed with bulging/herniated discs in my neck which I am tickled pink that I have a diagnosis! Not that I have them mind you but I had seen several doctors and no one could give me an answer why I was in so much pain. So it took a long time to get that answer. Welcome to Healingwell (I'm not the moderator here, just another sufferer). We are a one of a kind forum because we truly do care :)

I am glad I have found this place... it is nice to hear from people that understand where you are coming from... It is a hard time for me right now and hopefully I can sort out some hang ups....

I found that keeping a journal has helped so much and I really want to talk to others that also suffer in similar ways..

Wow I feel like I'm being disrespectful to you by calling you that name! I want to welcome you to the Chronic Pain Forum. I'm glad you are here and I hope you continue posting. We have a lot of wonderful people in here all willing to give support and are in need of support, so you are needed here as well. Don't forget the chat rooms as well. You can meet a lot of nice people in there too. So, give it a try!

I am Linda and I suffer from fibromyalgia and depression on occasion. The fibro is what hurts most of the time every hour of every day. I just got on lyrica which is a new drug for fibro, so it helps somewhat. I have two grown daughters and one granddaughter whom I love to pieces and whom I watch every day for her mother while she works. WE are expecting a baby sister or brother in December. Not sure which yet, but we are excited.

Well that is me in a nutshell. I hope you feel comfortable on the forum and are with us for many years.

I too want to welcome you to the HW forum boom. I too have found that this is a good place for answers to your questions...sympathy, as well as fun ideas to keep your mind from wandering to your pain.

And welcome to the HW family. And it really is a family here. You will find none of us wants to be here, in the sense we don't want to be in pain, but I for one find this place has been a godsend to me. A lot of us do get very isolated (myself included) and it sounds like you may be, too. So join in, jump in on any thread (already saw you added a dessert - that's great!), research old threads which contain tons of valuable info., or start your own topic if you can't find what you're looking for.

I don't know your diagnosis but there are numerous other conditions on Healing Well and you can post to any of them. It's quite easy to jump around using the "quick jump" menu at the top. You're not limited to staying in one place, but we're glad you found us here!

Again, welcome!

Thank you for the great welcoming...

I do plan on being here when I can... I would have been here during the day... but ended in a lot of pain..
as for my illness there is a list... and I have seen the drop down choices of many of the other conditions and have posted in them as well... those that I have...

Besides the IBS I have gastrodumping... depression, Hiatus Hernia, Acid Reflux and dismotility.

As for me name no worries on calling me FAT MAN GO BOOM I love funny names and this one suits me... my other handle not here but else where is Banana-Poo because I dislike the brown gooey spots when you peel the Banana...

So thank you for the welcome... I hope to learn more about you all....

Constant Pain seems to be my life as it many others
