Pregnant and on pain medication

Thank you everyone who replied to my post! I just came from my PM doctor and they want me to stay on the patches throughout the pregnancy. They spoke with my OBGYN and they are working together. I'm very relieved to have the doctor say the medication is safe and now I can focus on getting better and good nutrition for the baby. Thanks to all you guys who put my mind at ease and relax me a little bit until I got to see the doctor. I was really worried about the baby. I know this is going to be hard, but my husband and I are so excited about this baby

Hey I wanted to chime in that you need to discuss giving birth with your doctors. When hubby and I were attempting to become pregnant it was discussed that due to the possible chances of how birth would effect my spine they might automatically go to a c-section. Make sure you and your doctor talk about this before you get too far along.

PS I'm very happy for you, and dreaming of the day I can have the same fears about medication and a baby. *hugs*

Congratulations on the upcoming birth and for the good news from the doctors about your medications. Things can seem so overwhelming at times, right? --Especially when you are pregnant.

My daughter is having her second baby and we are also so very excited! Tuesday, we are going for a 3D/4D ultrasound to determine the sex of the baby. She already had the traditional one last week and the sex could not be determined, but they said the baby was normal and developing nicely. She is in her fifth month. So we too, had good news to celebrate!!

Anyway, sorry I got sidetracked--excitable Grandma, you have to forgive me.

Take good care of yourself and ask for help and say yes when it is offered. Someone who doesn't suffer with chronic pain needs help with a newborn, so you need to have help as well. You know it!!
