I've always wondered how you chose your name.
I'm Pamela Neckpain because my neck hurts and Pamela just sounds right with it.

Now how about: Chartreux, Lindaloo, mala101,volfan, worsenow!!!, JR_EATS,
Skeye, Momto6boys, Palady, Dragoness Warrior, ryand, ekkorose, Boxerlover,
crps, Red_34, Crank Poet (??) If I didn't write your name, you do it. OK?

i chose mine as it fitted perfectly at that time, i had had my total colectomy june last year and pain was even worse, so i was worsenow than before surgery, i am probably going to have to change it now though as i am better, but dont have a clue to what xx

Mine is xxsilentvoicesxx.

A few reasons. It uses to be xxsilentlyscremingxx but my depression has gotten better and didn't want something like screaming in there. Basically it's because I felt like I didn't have a voice for a while in my life due to controling people in my life. Along with that I'm deaf. There are just a few reasons for my name.

I chose ladyred because last yr for christmas my fiancee bought me a peice of land in scotland and it came with the title of Lady :) and red because its my favorite color.

I have 4 sons and am not really clever when it comes to names tongue  !  It should have been mybackisalwayskillingme, but that was way too long.

My "Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty" is probably pretty self-explanatory.
I Have the legal limit of cats one can have with a permit and
also foster cats/kittens from our local Animal Services.  I tend
to take in the special ones, like "Squint" who has a/genesis (no
eyelids) and needs surgery, but her white blood count is too high
right now.  And "Captain O'Captain" because he has radial hypoplasia,
and was totally neglected by his previous foster - flea-infested,
anemia, disheveled.  He jumps higher than all my other cats
with his hind legs (and can also walk a few steps on his hind
legs -- VERY special -- although they're all very special).  And
his name is, of course, from the poem Captain, My Captain
which I love, and I'm also a poet, although it's a rather dreadful
story when you read it.  Think I'll change Captain's name
to "Tiny Dancer" 'cause it looks like he's dancing when he's up
on his hind legs.

ACK!  Didn't mean to go on and on and on!  Sowwwyyyyy!!  :-/   <---------- Obvious cat lover (and all animal-lover)

Great topic!

I chose skeye to blend the words sky & eye. Sky, because I love nature and the outdoors and can be amused to no end by starring off into the night sky, and eye, because that is the cause of my chronic pain, and unfortunately, until I can learn to cope, I feel like it is what is defining me.

I like reading your stories :)  Mine is about as obvious as they come :)  My kids hate that screen name, for some reason though.  I guess because EVERYwhere we go it is "SIX BOYS?"...with the following comment after it - either: are they all yours?  Wow, they look so much alike!  Any twins? (Nope).  You have enough for a (choose one: baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc team).  And my kids ALL time best.........Did you keep trying for that girl? :)  We get that literally once a day. 

I understand some of the curiousity, comments and so forth.  But, now that the boys are older (I've got them 13 down to almost 5)....the "trying for a girl?" comment is now irritating to the kids.  Like the older ones say (in private, of course) - "Yeah, I wasn't good enough so they just kept trying and trying for what they "wanted".  :)  I know that sounds crabby and I try to explain people's natural curiousity - but you don't know how often we get that comment (again, daily).

Could be worse, I know :)  But I digress as usual.  Keep up the stories - I enjoy reading them :) --Tina

I've got a house full of special needs kitties too!  I'll do battle with just about any problem, but my "speciality" is manx syndrome, which is ironic considering the spinal nature of the problems. redface

A stupid kid hit me, no body will want to take reaponsibility,, and in the end I am sure everyone one involved,,ie..co. insurance co.. everyone but me will come out on top while I am just screwed for life.  AAAHHHRG  what a piece o @#&!

Chartreux is a cat breed and I really like cats...
There are CFA (Cat Fancier Association) Breeds and
TICA (The International Cat Association) Breeds,
I have two little boys now. One is all black cat, we call him Chancellor,
as we got him by chance from a friend. The other
we adopted from the shelter is a Snowshoe, 1/2 siamese +
1/2 American shorthaired = Snowshoe, we call him Remington
as it's an Aristocratic name, and siamese are just so Aristocratic.
They have their moments....

Mine is probably obvious too. I am a 2 parrot person. We share our home with 2 saucy parrots that make me laugh no matter how badly I hurt! Would never want to be without them. Actually I purchased the first one when my son was getting ready to leave home and go to Hollywood Ca. I knew that with all my hurts and sickness that I had to have a reason why I could not stay in bed. So, after a years worth of research deciding which species of parrot to get, we decided on a Congo African Grey. He has been with us for 14 years now. Our next parrot was a rescue. He is an Orange Winged Amazon. He has been with us for 2 years now. Precious they are!

Mine is Mala407 because Mala has been my nickname since birth from my grandfather...its means "little one" in croation. The name has stuck with my family and my "dance family" as well. I was born at 4:07 and my grandpa played it for years in the lottery! Its the family's lucky number :)

I was listening to the Beatles song "All the Lonely People" (although it is spelled Eleanor Rigby in the original lyrics, I believe).
While listening, I felt an immense sorrow and pity for the poor gal and I was having a pity-party for myself at the time and felt that I identified with her. I bet if she were a "real" person, she would have chronic pain too!
