A GREAT INFORMATIONAL THREAD
Lindaloo: I agree with you, there are times when we absolutely must get out of our
recliners. I'm not fond of those times but, like you, I arise, go forth and conquer my
tasks.
Our TV has a separate screen that you can see other programs on as you're scanning
for your pick. Late at night I can look at the screen and see a TV program on
Anacondas or those horrid Camoda Dragons. Those wake me up and send me
flying to the bed of my husband.
"What's wrong, Pamela?" he asks.
Tony: Changing my eating pattern is not going to work. It's a great idea but I
never ever know when I am going to eat. Or if ...
ELEL: I have learned to overcome the sleep medications. I wander in the night
fog wide-eyed awake. Once I get in the lavender scented chair, I'm usually out.
John: My own father's name was John so when i address you I get all sorts of
images. You'd have to see the inside of my head to understand.
Your "rotissere position" might be a way to exercise. I wouldn't want to try it
though. You have wild nights there in your seemingly quiet home.
Now for the sleep driving I suggest a chauffeur. No matter how tired you get,
you must not drive to put yourself to sleep. You might never ever awaken.
It must be something about
CP because whenever I'm in the moving car, I fall
asleep almost instantly. Just thinking about
the car makes me sleepy.
Nurse Beard, I had one of those adjustable beds. I had a bed accident the first
night I got it. I liked it. At the push of a button I could go up, down, sideways,
feet up, head down, shake, roll, rattle. Fun. I played a lot in the new bed.
I got tired and fell asleep. The next day I couldn't barely move. I thought I
had broken my back and neck for all eternity.
Ever try to return a mattress and bedframe? Not easy. However, I did it.
I'm glad you enjoy your bed and use it responsibly.
Susie: Oh yes, I do that hanging off the side. I also do the full frontal where I hit
the keys with my forehead and leave little square imprints. One morning I woke
up and my chair had gone over backward in the night. But strange ... I wasn't in
it. (or perhaps I don't remember)
John: Good idea! A seat belt for our chairs. Actually, we need a harness. Some
of us may need our chairs bolted to the floor.
