I was suppose to have a pain dr appt yesterday and when I went there the office was all locked up. Does that mean he is no longer going to see me anymore.? I dont know what to do because im all out of pain pills and in serious pain. what do I do?

Kara,
Did you try calling them? Could you see in the windows and if so, was anything moved or missing? There's achance that they got in some kind of trouble and skipped out. You should start making phone calls to other doctors as soon as they open up. If you can get an appointment today, bring in your med containers and tell them what happened! Do it before you start withdrawl symptoms. Good luck Kara, I'll pray for you!

they moved offices i have an appt on may 4th and i dont know what i am going to do till then.

What!! They made the mistake but you are paying for it...That really BLOWS!! What did they say when u called? Didn't you tell them about you running out of pills? They oughta know that you need to come in before May 4...Maybe u should call them back? Tell them about your meds...and tell them you need to come in sooner...

I was lucky that my doc let me see him on Monday instead of having to wait for another week, I was almost out due to extra pain and taking a few "extra pills", which I told him about...It could have turned out much different if I wasn't honest... So, hang in there...and make the appt. sooner if u can...I wish there was something I could do to help...Been there and it really SUX...

I had a pain specialist 5 years ago that would make my appointments on friday afternoons, and when I got their it would be closed with a sign saying to people who had an appointent to call on monday, this happened 3 times and I was so angry, I ended up having to call my reguluar doctor and told her what happened and she would give me 3 days worth of meds to help me out. Luckly that pain doctor never had me sign a contract so I couldnt get in trouble, and I told them I would not make my appointment for fridays anymore, even though the 30 days would be on a friday, I told them they could post date my prescriptions cause I hated the panic feeling of going to my appointment with no meds left over and them not being their, it just wasnt right, they could of atleast called.

OMG, what a terrible thing to happen to you! It could almost be reported
to the medical society. I'm totally burned up. Furious.

You seem to be going through a very rough patch in your life. I'm sooo
glad you're keeping your computer access. With all of us helping you,
we surely will figure something out.

Call again. Start crying a little. Don't cry so much they think you're
hysterical. Just a gentle snuffle. Write down what you're suffering from.
The effects.. Keep it simple. Don't make it complicated. Be sure that
you know those people in the doctors office love you and want to do
the right thing for you. That's attitude. You can do it. I know you can.

Attitude works wonders in doctors offices.

I called the pain dr and they fit me in for monday at 1:15 pm . I left a message for the nurse and ask me what i should not to go through withdrawls. but cant fill my percocet til next thursday.

Kara, is it that you have script but u don't Think u can fill it yet? Or do u have a post dated one? I can usually get mine filled early, up to a whole week!!! Just trying to help...

I dont have a script and have no insurance an money to get it right now.

Oh, I see..So you would have to wait until you went back to the Dr. to get your script?  My mistake...and even then you would have to wait until Thursday?  That sucks!!

I have had to go a few days without before and it was awful!!! I hope you're okay.

the pain dr was going to prescribe me enough pain meds to get through the weekend but they are in the office thats an hour from me and no way to get it. so im taking ibuprofen 800 mg for the pain,heating pads and hot baths. I dont know any one that can take me there. my hubby has to go to work and we dont have the gas money to go out there.so i have to suffer through thursday til i can get my pain medcine. My appointment is monday at 1:15 pm.

you can take Fiorcet as pain reliever.

Kara that SUCKS!!!! I went without medication and it was terrible. I kept telling myself "You've done it before" to get myself through. If all of us would of known a few days earlier we could of mailed you a few dollars each to get you the gas to drive there!!!!

when I go to the doctors on monday im going to ask if he will write me a prescription for a few days and can get that prescription on monday and see if he will write me another prescription for the remainder of the months supply of pills can he do that?

They will work with you if you have had a good relationship...I hope he does it for you, a weekend without meds is a lifetime...I know.
