oxygen/ozone therapy for herniated discs

Has anyone heard of this kind of treatment? My pdoc told me about it last month and thought it would give me some hope, I doubt it will be available in Canada for a long time.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Oxygen-ozone therapy is a minimally invasive treatment for lumbar disk herniation that exploits the biochemical properties of a gas mixture of oxygen and ozone. We assessed the therapeutic outcome of oxygen-ozone therapy and compared the outcome of administering medical ozone alone with the outcome of medical ozone followed by injection of a corticosteroid and an anesthetic at the same session.

Hey they might be onto something that has a treatment that more drugs are not involved. hummm could be a good thing as long as we don't turn into a screaming drawf from it.

Hello & welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, the above member is no longer active here at Healing Well & we have not heard from this member since the above posting. This is a very old thread & I suggest that you make an intro post so more people will see it & you will get a better response. A lot of times people over look these older threads.

I personally do not know of anyone that has done this type of treatment. I will lock this thread as we like to keep the older threads off of the main page. Thanks.
