Ok I'm not having a good pain day.  I have worked all my days off and I HURT.  I don't see a day off in the future due to having an insane superviser. 

Hopefully I will be off saturday so I can catch up on posting.  I should say my days at work are 12 hour shifts in 110+ degree heat.  Maybe I'm just having a pity party in my mind.  I should be fine after the pain meds start to work.  I still have to do laundry, take a shower and put clean sheets on the bed.

Ok I'm done complaining  shakehead

Hi Laurie, sorry to hear you're yet another victim of the insane supervisors!!! We seem to collect them like flies on this site. We definately need some way of getting them all linked up so they can feel a bit of suffering themselves. Just doesn't seem fair to have them all segregated like this!

Cross my fingers the weather cools and you get a well deserved break very soon. We're thinking of you, golitho turn

I certainly hope that you are feeling better by now! I have been in suffering physically mode here too lately, so I can certainly understand! my work has kept me busy making up for the days I was so mentally fuzzy while on the job as well as all the early on Dr's visits and Hospital stays, that I am in the 15-18 hours per day routine. I am in an office though, so I can only imagine what it is like in 110 degree heat!

Oh yeah...Do not feel bad at all about posting how you feel! What you consider complaining is honestly a great way to get the feelings you are experiencing out there, and you can bet you will get some good feedback - well, that is in the posts around mine :) ...

LOL  turn   Thank you all for responding.  Yes I did get some rest lastnight and hopefully the next 12 hours will be tolerable other than the heat. Can't hide from that.

I don't like to complain at home so I just came on here too.  smhair    I'm so VERY glad I have somewhere that I can just vent!  yeah   

PAlady yes I need them fangs today to get away from this insane man!  I'm 39 and have NEVER met a person like this in my life.  He has a very DARK soul.

Ok off to the 12 hour torture chamber!!!!!!!! skull

It's been over 2 months since I quit my job and left old wackoboss to yell at someone else. But I'm sure everyone still remembers him as I did SO MUCH complaining here on the board about him over and over. So please don't feel bad about venting!!! I sure understand what it's like even after being away for a while! People like your boss will get their comupin's sooner or later> I firmly believe "what comes around, goes around!" or Karma gonna git him! I know that doesn't do you any good now but hang in there, thing do get better for those who wait! or is it good things come to those who wait? Geeze I'm a regular toilet seat phillocifer who can't smell or spell this morning! We're sending out our negitive vibes to this bad guy, come on everyone> lets chanel our thoughts against this jerk for Laurie, it couldn't hurt, right?

PS>personal note: they are dying at my old workplace for work, it's dried up completely!!! I feel bad as loads of guys (my friends) are getting laid off. My old Itallian buddy Jerry finally was fired last week, I feel so bad for him and his family! Although the boss deserves everything he's getting, I hate to see good people going down on the karma ship with him!

Even though I'm not happy about the loss of income at the moment, I am glad that I got "fired" recently. They terminated me for attendance even though I was on a fmla leave. So, I know that I will get unemployment, it's just a case of the state making their determination. (Hopefully I'll see my first check in the next week or two here.)

But no longer fantasizing daily about shoving my garden gnome sized former boss through an electric fan just to see if she would come out the other side looking like sliced pepperoni - that alone is worth the wait and the struggle till the first check comes in.

Pete you are so funny!  I remember your ranting about your boss.  Mine is similar to your x insane madman.  But mine has been curved some for most of us to him to HR.  So he had a choice to keep his job and be nice or leave that moment.  He really has to control himself you can see the vains popping out of his neck and forehead almost every minute cuz he wants to scream and threaten.  So its kinda funny.

Right now he expects me to be there even on my days off.  Today I had to call my PM for my refill appointment and he was rolling his eyes.  But dang he hasn't let me off all week and weekend.  I get there at 5:45 and don't leave until 6:15 on average.  No PM doc would be open on my off hours.  Yes I will have a nice check but sometimes I wonder if its worth all the stress.

Today I'm just dealing with the physical pain.  I'm so overwhelmed at work right now with all the new releases coming out on so many tv series and movies.  We are understaffed and hot!

But oh well.  The busy season will be over right after thanksgiving then I can relax for awhile.  But until then I have to deal with the new harry potter and terminator coming out smhair

Peircing you are funny also.  Can I use that fantasy???  Fan and pepperoni.. smhair devil yeah    Good imagination!!!!

Laurie, I want you to know that I do care. Wow, 12 hour days... That alone says enough. I don't know how you do it. What type of work do you do, if you don't mind me asking? You may feel that is too personal. And if so, I am sorry. I hope it doesn't offend you. Regardless, I admire you for working the 12 hours...I know it is so hard on you. That alone would increase your pain level...Try to rest and take it easy when you can. And you do need a day off. That boss sounds like another wacko boss. And it would be nice to get them all lined up together,doesn't it? Entertain the thought. That might be enough to help a little in the bad times like these!!!hehe

I'm now wondering if there isn't something inherent with bosses in the entertainment industry. The job I just left is for one of the two big data aggregators for movie grosses and VOD numbers. Hmmm.... I'm starting to suspect something.

So as a fellow member of the backside of the entertainment industry...you're more than welcome to use the Pepperoni Effect. lol

Anice its not personal where I work..lol  I work for a company thats called Cinram.  We have contracts with Warner Brothers, HBO, BBC Network, New Line Cinemas and so on.  Our brother company in Olyphant PA creates our discs and they are sent to us to assemble the finished product that you would by at walmart or rent at blockbuster.

I basically deal with IC (Inventory Control) but I don't sit in an air conditioned office.  I have a desk, computer and chair but usually never use it.  Only when I have to do research.  After an order is assembled I get all the slack or as I call it garbage.  I have to count and verify component numbers against inventory numbers in the racks.  Then I have to put them with their little friends.  I get dirty climbing in and out of racks.  I lift boxes up to 60 pounds down to little boxes that weight 6 oz.  I love my job but can stand the HEAT!!!!! smhair    Plus at times the pain can be overwhelming.

I do get A DAY off.  Just one and that is tomorrow.  My wonderful supervisor asked if I would work saturday, sunday, monday and tuesday.  So I will be working on my days off again.  The money is good but dang I won't be able to spend it cuz the teenagers will get to it before I can come up for air around Thanksgiving..lol

Laurie, maybe the fangs for the teen gaers to. It is interetsing how we justify working long hours and in th end we look back and try to remember why we did it. I joked with my kids when they were teenagers. i asked them what they were going to do with me when I could no longer take care of myself. My sons had no problem recomending the cheapest nursing home. My daughter said she was going to take care of me at home. I told my boys that they were not in the will that their little sister gets everything. Now we all joke about it. Them kids do cost money though. Please enjoy your day off.
