Good Monday Morning!

I thought for today's Koffee Klatch (our fun get together) we could plan a virtual welcome home party for Chutzie!

What ideas would you have? I know this group has NO problem coming up with the menu tongue , but there are other aspects.

What kind of party? What setting?

I was thinking of a costume party since Halloween isn't that far off! If you agree, who would you come as?

I'm throwing out a lot of questions, but I thought the planning could be fun and we could have it all ready to surprise Chutzie when she returns! yeah smilewinkgrin

I would come as Mortisha from the Adams Family, except I would also be a psychic, so I could give psychic readings! I'll bring the crystal ball!

Toss in your ideas - as many as you have! yeah And a few tricks (keeping it family friendly and within the forum rules! smilewinkgrin) wouldn't hurt! devil

Let's have some fun, if you're up for it! smilewinkgrin turn

p.s. I changed the title of this so we don't need to use it as a one day thing. Let's keep it going and plan the menu, location & anything else you want to throw in! It's virtual so the sky is the limit!! Let's give Chutzie something fun to read when she returns!! tongue

I think that is a Great idea, I think she returns Monday the 28th Well I won't be here for her return. My surgery is that day, but if I was I would come as Freddy the FreeLoader. If any of you remember the Red Skelton show Freddy the Free Loader was always one of my favorites on that show! If I could not be him then my other favorite was Menard G Krebbs, from the Doby Gillis show. He was my idol as a youngster!

Ohhh you make it too easy for me.

I'll just come as a pig :) - maybe I could magically switch between pig and human, that'd be slightly more interesting.

I'd come as a witch, broom in hand and black cat at my side!
My lil Chancellor is perfect being as he's all black with amber eye's, just the perfect cat
for this Halloween party and PALady he does tricks for those greenie treats so add a few of those!

Great Idea PaLady. I want to join too. I will come as a pumpkin. What can I say? I like orange!! I will also bring the marshmallows to roast if there could be a fire, that is.

Since Char is bringing her cat, I will bring one of my German Shepherds, Tzar. He is better behaved than Xander and he is just an all around cool dog.

Let me know more about the details. I will keep a close eye out!!

I'll come as a little old lady carrying a baby piggybacked. My head would be the baby's. The old lady head would be a mask stuffed and positioned where it would like I was hunched over.

Let's keep this going, and add any ideas you want! It's virtual! We need a menu! And what setting (or settings? ) would we want to have it at! Activities? idea idea idea

We haven't had a fun thread that just ran on and on for awhile. I'll bet we have the creativity to keep this one going until Chutzie gets back!! yeah

OK OH Great PALady Swammy  what does my future hold? smilewinkgrin   But if it is a Holloween party and were all dressed up we just have to have a bon fire and a Hay ride thru the country side. With several large wagons piled high with hay or straw and pulled by either a team of horses or a tractor, on a crisp autum night with a slight north wind and a full moon shining bright!

 Will you join me on the Hay ride PALady?

Well, we'd definitely have to bob for apples! Dani is bringing the carmel ones, but I don't think putting those in a tub of water is a good idea! LOL

Oh, I can remember looking for a "good" stick to roast marshmellows - and hot dogs!! - and then sharpening the point, back when I was in camp (eons ago! LOL).

Char - just what tricks does that cat of yours do? I imagine he (she?) will make an excellent "prop" for ghost stories!

Music? Music? Hmm.......suggestions?

PALady, sorry I had that posted twice...I didn't mean for that..
My kitty Jumps, put a greenie in you fingers and hold it up high and he'll jump to get it, just watch out for your fingers
as his teeth are sharp, he jumps for tooth paste too, (vet kind chicken flavored!) never had a cat jump that high...
I'd says his max jumping height is 4- 5 feet, from the floor.........

Ok, so we have hay rides and bonfires and marshmellow roasting and apple bobbin, and a stage act including a jumping cat (and probably a dog chasing a cat? wink) and...
all of us performing the Monster Mash for Chutzie while we're in costume!! shocked skull devil

We definitely need a band to perform. Or more than one! yeah

And we need a buffet table or something. A BBQ?? idea

Anyone know Chutzie's favorite foods?

BTW what's our setting?? I can offer a grape farm! Concord grapes will be ripe soon! Homemade wine! And Grape Juice for those wishing not to "imbibe!"

Well if Lindaloo is bring marshmallows I will bring some gram crackers and hershey chocolate bars and we can make "Some Mores" Isn't that what they are made of? I bet they would be even better with a bit of Peanut butter in it too! So I willalso bring a big jar of Jiff creamy style Peanut butter! mmmmmmmmmmm! can't wait! yeah

Awww.... you guys have made my eyes leak with happy tears! How sweet...a party with lots of fun costumes and food! MY favorite food? As long as there's chocolate involved I'm there! I'm working hard on a costume idea. Once I went as a mushroom. No one knew who I was and it was so funny until I took of my "cap" and they never had a clue until then. Maybe I'll drag out that old costume. I'm about to turn into a pumpkin tonight so it's off to bed. I'll see if the party is still rolling in the morning.
